"TURBO"
Sherle,
I wanted to
share with you a photo story/video of Turbo. I also
wanted to let you know how pleased I am with him. He is
definitely what I was looking for in a German Shepherd.
At the young age of 6 months, he has tremendous drive
and is turning into a great working dog already! I know
that he will become a top performing sport dog in the
competitive obedience ring and protection ring. I will
begin competing with him in these two venues in the
Spring of '08 at the Service Dogs of America trial.
Turbo also has the great temperament that I was looking
for in a dog - he is the Total Package! Sherle, thanks
again for helping me to select just the right puppy for
me. Enjoy the video!

"SIERRA"
Hi Sherle,
Hello from New Mexico!! I was thinking about you and thought it was high time I send you new pics of
our Sierra. She has been a dream come true for us all. She is the best of the best!! She is one of the family and enjoys our
evening walks. She gets along well with other dogs as with the family cat. We get numerous compliments on her confirmation and
temperament. I pray she will be around with us for a long time to come. You can be sure that she is loved and being well taken care of.
Hope you are doing well and that all is well there in Tenn. Take care and write when you can.
Sincerely,
Debi

"AMOS"
Sherle,
Amos is doing great and still has
my wife wrapped around his paw!!! He has some much energy that
sometimes I forget how old he really is. He really is a big lap dog
when my wife is around. He stays within about 2’ of her when she is
around the house. He is about 80 lbs and solid muscle. I think he
would have been an excellent work dog but my wife just could not
part with him long enough to teach him some manners. His ball drive
is so strong – that is all he wants to everyday, all day. He
continues to insist on your undivided attention and play ball non
stop.

"BECKHAM"
For Sherle:
Hi Sherle,
Just
want to update you with Beckham. He is a wonderful dog and companion. He is
just past 2 year of age and is perfectly trained and behaved. His reason for
life is chasing the ball and frisbee. He is not aggressive and ignores other
dogs and people. He condescends to be petted by neighbors and gets along
with kids very well. and is a fine owner of two cats. He is an apartment dog
and is content to protect it and allow people in with my permission. He
could not be a better dog in temperament and deportment. I feel so lucky to
have found him.. He doesn't seem to have any physical problems. Nor any
psychological ones...... He is a fine dog and I
feel lucky to have him.
Regards,
Jim
For Everyone else:
I would like to tell you and everybody how pleased I am with
Beckham. From the time I brought him home He has presented no
problems, has demonstrated his loyalty and eagerness to learn and his
complete trustworthiness in crowds and around people and children. I
live in an apartment complex and he has been a good citizen playing with the
neighborhood kids and showing off his intense ball drive and athletic
ability. As important as genes, the attention, interest, and care
Sherle has shown after I got Beckham, has been superlative. I am in
the process of buying a second pup, a full sister to Beckham from her and I
would highly recommend her as a breeder and consultant for any of your
German Shepherd questions and/or needs!

"THOR"
Thor is a
great pup. He is a world of company and a true companion. He knows when
the leash goes on to go to the front door, walk down the walk and get
into the truck. He enjoys looking out the window if we are in the
outskirts of town. If we are in town, he generally sleeps! When it is
just he, Fluttie and myself, he executes all basic commands quickly and
flawlessly by hand signal or verbal command. If any of the Grandsons are
around, he is totally ballistic for about 15 minutes or so. I think he
will outgrow this in time as he matures.
Thor has developed beautifully. He is a very large and powerful
animal.
We took him to the lake Saturday for a ride on the pontoon boat and play in the
water. He swims really well with those huge feet of his! When we are at the lake,
he enjoys playing with any children that happen by the island (Sandbar). He usually
goes through 3 tennis balls each trip. He gets excited and bites them and they sink!
He gets a least one bath each week and when it rained out our trip to the lake last
weekend, that evening, I heard him bark and found him in the bathroom standing in the
bathtub!
I will send pictures as soon as my camera battery gets here! Only been on
order since the 12th of never!
Thanks again for choosing Thor for us!

"THOR"
Hi
Dr. Thompson,
Here are some current pic's. I will call you in November
about X-Rays. His weight was 49 pounds yesterday. He just completed
his first 8 classes of obedience and will have 5 additional session
at the intermediate level. When the instructor wanted to demonstrate
something he always used Thor because he the quickest dog to learn
and do.

Update

Here are a few pictures of Thor learning to kayak. Y=This was his
first time out after practicing to set in the kayak for 2 week on
dry land. He is doing well and is a wonderful dog.

Update
5/31/08:
Hi Dr. Thompson. Here are some
pic's of Thor. He is now two years old and 103 pounds. He has been
swimming since we got him and now he is a boat dog. He gets walked
at least 6 and some times ten miles a week. He is very gentle with
our other pets and is always fun to be around The product we use to
get him in and out of the boat is called doggy dock. A little spendy
at $ 350 but works great! I have one or two different views of Thor
on mu iphone and send them latter. You can see Thor using the dock
on you tube at the address above. If you can't see it let me know or
go to you tube and search doggy dock.

"Solomon"
Hi Sherle,
Here are the
pics I promised to send. Solomon is a wonderful dog, and we are having
so much
fun with him. He is completely housebroken and crate trained.
He loves to travel with me, and sleeps in my bed. We are working on several
basic commands, and he is doing very well. Somehow, he is even capturing my
husbands heart...who doesn't like animals in the house. Oh well!
I don't know what happened to the little sweet puppy. Something
clicked after he made himself comfortable at home, and he is very feisty.
Along with that, he is very very verbal. I'm very familiar with the GSD
whine, but this dog can hold a conversation with you. He fusses with
me just like a teenager. I'm not kidding! I've never seen anything like it.
He makes me laugh all the time. He has quickly got over his phobia of
the dark, but is
afraid of Daren's bus and anything that is large and
white...go figure?!?!?! Anyway, he just finished his vaccines today, so I
will get him out even more and expose him to as much as possible.
I'll send
another e-mail about
Solomon &
Daren with their
pics.
Please watch for it.

From Raven and Logan 3/07: Willie
Bear
Dear
Sherle,
You might have already guessed, we are in love with Willie
Bear. He really does sometimes just sit when we are walking him
until we call and make a big fuss about him, then he comes running
(with a smile on his face) He has one ear up and looks very cute.
He is getting along great with the other dogs, but Willie is still
sleeping in the house. He is extremly smart and cuddly, sits
beautifully, try to get tangled up in our feet, doesn't mess in his
inside crate. We are reading the book about puppies written by the
Monks of Skete, very interesting. I'll send you some
pictures soon
of Willie. Thank you for raising a great
puppy.

Izzy
Pop
Dr.
Sherle,
I
just wanted to write you and let you know how
happy we are with our puppy. Michelle named her Izzy Pop and I
will be sending in her registration this week. Izzy and Gravy,
our black
lab, are
already
getting along great. She seems to have
made
a very smooth transition and is a very quick learner. We have
already fallen in love with
her, and could not imagine her not being a part of our family.
Thank you so much for everything. We look forward to hearing
from
you in the future. I attached some pictures we have taken
of her.
I
will continue
to send more to you.
Thanks
again,
Harold
Update: 5/19/08:
Just wanted to show you how much she has grown up. She
is a gorgeous dog. It is amazing how easy she has been
to train. She is so eager to please. Her
athleticism is also incredible. She can jump so high with no effort at all.
She truly is exactly what we hoped for.
Thank you so much.

RUDY
Hi Sherle,
I want to let you how much I love my little Rudy and to thank you
for him. So far he's been doing GREAT. House training is going
VERY well (thank you so much for all the preliminary work you've
done). I've been getting a pretty good night's sleep the past
couple nights, which I didn't expect. He's also doing well with the
kitties, although he displays a strong desire to PLAY with them,
which is cute to me but scary to them. When he's sleeping they get
close to him to investigate. I think with time they're going to be
great friends.
Rudy is getting used to wearing a collar and leash and today we're
going to go for a short car ride and a short walk at Stone
Mountain. I'll send you pictures soon.
Thanks again, you obviously did a lot of good socializing and work
with the puppies.
Cathy
Update: 7/23/07:
Hi Sherle,
It's
been a few weeks since I've sent you pictures of my Rudy. He
continues to do great and I continue to fall more and more in
love with him. We started regular obedience classes a few weeks
ago and he does great. He continues to learn the rules of the
house and he's learning that if he relaxes around the kitties
they'll actually play with him. His favorite treats are ice
cubes and tomatoes that he eats right off my plants in the yard
(I think he likes the thrill of picking them more than the taste
of them)...but he'd certainly never pass up a biscuit or meaty
treat!! He's growing so fast and he already lost his first
canine tooth on Sunday.
We found a great park very close to home that has trails and a
lake that he can swim in and we often meet lots of other dogs
and people (he loves to meet other dogs). I took him there the
other night for a walk and since it was raining a little bit and
no one was around, I took him over to explore the playground
equipment. I encouraged him to walk through the "tunnel" and
then he slid down the slide. It was hilarious. Of course, then
he wanted to do it over and over again and now when he sees
playground equipment he wants to play on it (which of course,
isn't possible when there are human children playing!). I think
after our obedience classes I might try agility with
him...probably nothing competitive but I think it's something
we'd both enjoy.
I hope
you enjoy the pictures.

Tindra
Dear
Sherle,
I just wanted to let you know how thrilled I am with Tindra. She is
everything I expected and more! She is over the top intelligent and
has incredible drive. We have been taking her everywhere with us
and she has performed beautifully. Knowing our plans for our new
puppy you did a wonderful job helping us pick just the right one.
We begin formal training soon and I have very high expectations for
her. I will try to remember to start toting the camera with me
everywhere so I can send you more pictures.
By
the way----I know I am prejudiced, but she is beautiful! I love the
rough coat!!!
Thanks for everything!
Anne and James Pettepher
Update: 6/10/08:
Sherle,
I wanted you to see Tindra's Penn Hip scores. You know after having
two other shepherds with terrible joints how thrilled I am to finally
have such a healthy dog. Watching her run and jump without worrying
about her hips is truly a joy.
I am also attaching a new picture of the girls. I have had several
comments about their athleticism and excellent temperament. We are
going to try agility this summer and think "the girls" are really going
to enjoy it.
More soon!

Maya
Dr.
Thompson,
Here are some pictures of Maya. She's a wonderful dog and
already learning extremely fast. She has been fully house trained
and understands a few basic commands with out even having any formal
training. We are taking her to training in a few weeks and can't wait to
work with her and see her full potential.
Also we can't seem to take her anywhere with out someone saying how
pretty she is. We have bragged several times about your dogs and
explained how much its worth it to take it to a breeder like you.
Maya and her big sister Oakley are getting along great. They are best
buddies and are terribly hard to separate.
Thanks so much for the best addition to our family!!!

Rudy
Hi
Sherle,
Just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with our Rudy. He has
just turned 5 months and continues to be to be a real joy - thanks to
your selection and temperament testing. Housebreaking and crate
training were a breeze. He's smart and funny and well behaved. He's a
good traveler in the car. We took him on the 9 hour drive
to Florida
with no trouble at all! He even abides by the "House Rule" that the
cats are in charge of him! He's a sweet boy and so much more than we
hoped for.
Thank you so much...
All the best!

From Jeb and Cosie 3/08:
Bonnie
Thanks Sherle! Bonnie is doing unbelievably well. I have never been
around such a smart pup before. She is sitting on command, she is
taking to her crate very well, her potty training is going well (I
think she is starting to understand where to go…) and her
socializing is going great. She heels very well but pulls, so we
need to get a choker collar for her. Everyone comments on how purty
she is! And she has such a sweet personality…sorry, but you can’t
have her back!! Me and Lori both just love her to death now.
We have not found a vet here yet. Do you have any recommendations
for a Johnson City vet?
From Jeb and Cosie 3/08:
Amber
Hi Sherle,
Amber is doing wonderful! May and I took her in this past
Saturday for her final set of vacinces and rabies, she weighed
in at 34.9 pounds. Our vet here was very complimentary on her
and you (he is an Auburn Grad too!). I am sending you a photo of
her and her new friend, she has found a turtle that she likes to
pester.
I know you know this, but she is that rare GSD that comes from
the bloodline,
House GSD and Spoiled Rotten GSD (ha,ha). We wouldn't have it
any other way.
We also noticed of your up coming litters. We would still if
all possible like to
have our male puppy from Raven, that is when she decides to come
in heat. The later in the summer, the better for May and myself.
Just wanted to touch base, and tell you how much we just love
our Amber she is
fantastic! We will talk with you later,
Bruce and May
